Wildlife Park Cams: Questions & Answers

Wildlife Park Cams is a service from Real View. We supply a weatherproof camera, you mount it on the enclosure and plug in one cable, and we run it for you. Your animals then appear in three places: an ad-free live window on your own website, a permanent live stream on YouTube, and the Real View TV app, watched on televisions at home. The same camera saves clips of the interesting moments on its own, produces timelapses, and drafts social media posts for you to approve.

Zoos, safari parks, aquariums, wildlife sanctuaries, nature reserves, rescue centres, conservation charities and visitor attractions with animals. If people come to see your animals, the same animals can be working for you online while the gates are shut.

Because the animals are the reason people come, and they only work for you when someone is standing in front of them. A live camera lets them keep working — on someone's television at home, on your website while a family is deciding whether to visit, and on social media without anyone on your team having to film anything.

No. The camera is supplied as part of your monthly plan. Real View owns it and manages it remotely, so there's no hardware to buy, nothing to maintain, and nothing to replace when it eventually wears out. If you stop, the camera comes back to us.

Most attractions do it themselves. The camera arrives configured for your site: mount it on the enclosure, plug in a single network cable — that one cable carries both power and internet — and it finds itself and starts streaming. Nothing to assemble, no software to install, no technician needed. If the mounting is awkward, managed installation is available from £299 (up to £750 depending on complexity).

A mounting point with a view of the enclosure, and one network cable that reaches it. Because that cable carries power too, the camera doesn't need a socket beside it. On the internet side, roughly 2 Mbps of spare upload is enough.

It's a passive camera: it doesn't move, it makes no noise, and it emits no flash. It's mounted once and then simply watches. Your keepers decide where it goes and what it can see, and you can pause it at any time from your control panel.

Yes — most attractions have several enclosures worth showing. Each camera is priced the same way, per camera per month, and they all appear together in one control panel.

It streams whatever is really there, including at night. For enclosures with nothing to see in the dark, the camera can be set to follow daylight rather than broadcast a black screen.

Yes. You get an ad-free, branded embed of your live camera to drop straight onto your own pages. It's our player rather than a YouTube embed, and that matters: a YouTube embed can open with an advert you didn't choose, on the page where someone was about to book a ticket or make a donation.

Yes, and you choose where. We can push your live camera to your own YouTube channel, running 24 hours a day, or carry it on the Real View channel if you'd rather we hosted it. It's a permanent live stream with nothing for your team to manage.

Real View is a free television app on Samsung, LG, Fire TV and Android TV that turns a screen into a window onto a real, live place. People leave it on for hours at home, and it also plays on calm screens in places like care homes and waiting rooms. Your attraction appears by name alongside your animals.

No. Watching is free — on the TV app, on YouTube and on your own website. There's no charge to your audience and no limit on how many of them there are.

Nothing changes, and nothing is switched off. Viewing is unlimited. However many people watch, your price doesn't move and your camera is never throttled or taken down for being popular. Being watched is what you're paying for — we don't ration it.

Yes. You can lock a camera behind an access code and give or sell that code to your members, supporters or adopters, who then watch it on their own television through the Real View app. You set the price, you decide who gets a code, and you keep 100% of the money. Real View never takes a cut and never touches the payment — it's your audience and your relationship.

No. There's no seat cap and no per-supporter charge from us. If a thousand of your members want to watch the nest cam on their televisions, that's a thousand people who feel closer to your work.

The camera watches for the interesting moments and saves clips of them on its own. On the Premium plan it then drafts ready-to-post content for TikTok, Instagram and Shorts — the clip, and a caption written from what actually happened rather than a generic template. The AI drafts; your team decides.

No. Nothing is published without a human approving it. You review, edit and approve every draft before it goes anywhere, so your voice stays yours.

It's your footage and your animals. The clips, timelapses and highlights are yours to use in your marketing, your fundraising and your social media. Real View carries and delivers the stream and produces the content from it; we don't sell your footage on.

Plans are per camera, per month:

Basic — £99. The live camera plus an ad-free branded embed on your own website.
Professional — £149. Adds the Real View TV app and YouTube, daily highlight clips and timelapses.
Premium — £199. Adds AI-drafted captions and social post generation.

The camera is included in every plan. Optional managed installation is a one-off £299–£750.

The camera has no microphone at all, so no audio is ever captured. It's designed to point at an enclosure rather than at people. Point it at the animals and there's nothing for keepers or visitors to think twice about. If a camera would take in an area where people are identifiable, treat it as you would any other camera on site and signpost it as normal.

Yes, at any time, from your control panel — for veterinary work, a birth, an incident, or any other reason. Switch it back on when you're ready. You're never obliged to be live.

The plan is monthly and the camera belongs to Real View, so stopping simply means we arrange its return. There's no hardware left on your books.
