What kinds of attractions is this for?
Any place with animals people love to watch — zoos, safari parks, aquariums, sea-life centres, wildlife parks, sanctuaries and rescues, farm attractions, nature reserves and nest-box projects. If your animals draw a crowd in person, a live cam draws one online.
What is the AI social media feature, exactly?
Your camera watches the enclosure and saves clips of the interesting moments on its own. A vision AI then looks at each clip, works out what happened, and writes a ready-to-post caption for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts — using notes you give it about the enclosure, plus the time and location. It also cuts the clip into the vertical shape those platforms want. Everything lands on one review screen where your team edits and clicks publish or schedule. It's on the Premium plan.
Does anything get posted without us seeing it first?
No. The AI only ever drafts — nothing goes out until a person on your team reviews it and clicks publish (or schedules it). You can edit any caption, or reject a post entirely. You stay in full control of your voice and your brand.
Does the camera record sound, keepers or visitors?
No. The camera has no microphone at all — it captures the view, not audio, so nothing anyone says near it is ever recorded. It's meant to point at an enclosure rather than at people; aim it at the animals and there's nothing for visitors to think twice about.
How much does it cost, and what's the camera?
Plans are per camera, per month: Basic £99 (website embed), Professional £149 (adds live streaming to Real View & YouTube, timelapses and highlight videos), and Premium £199 (adds the AI captions and social post generation and scheduling). The camera itself is free — we own it and manage it remotely — and it arrives ready to plug in yourself. Prefer us to handle it? Managed installation is also available (£299–£750 depending on complexity).
Does it cost our visitors anything to watch?
Never a penny, and there's no limit on it. Watching is free on your website, free on YouTube and free on the Real View TV app — no sign-up, no subscription and no paywall in front of your animals. Viewing is unlimited: no cap on how many people watch or for how long, and no bill that creeps up if your camera has a good month. It's all covered by your plan.
What happens if our camera gets really popular?
Then it gets really popular, and nothing else changes. There's no viewer limit, no bandwidth charge and no surprise bill — your price is your price, whether twelve people watch or twelve thousand. We'll ring you to tell you how well it's doing, and to ask if we can show it off.
Can we charge our members or supporters to watch?
Yes, and you keep all of it. Switch any camera to “only my supporters can watch” and we give you an access code — your supporters type it in once on their television and it works from then on. You sell that code however you like, at your price, and you keep 100% of the money. We never take a cut and never touch the payment. It works as a membership perk, a sponsor-an-animal thank-you, a small add-on in your online shop, or a line in your renewal letter. There's no limit on how many supporters can hold a code, and no limit on how much they watch — sell as many as you can. Most attractions leave one camera free as the shop window and keep the nest box or night cam for supporters.
Can I put the live cam on my own website?
Yes — that's the Basic plan, and it carries up into the others. You get an ad-free, branded embed of your live enclosure to drop straight onto your own pages. A live animal cam keeps people on your site and thinking about a visit far better than a photo.
What do I need on site?
A clear view of the enclosure, and a network point with internet the camera can reach. It's powered over that same network cable (PoE), so there's no separate power lead to run. If your network sockets don't supply power, a small PoE injector — which we can provide — adds it. And if the connection drops for a while, the camera holds onto its footage and uploads it when it's back, so you don't lose your clips.
Who owns the footage — can we use it in marketing?
It's yours to use. Download your clips and timelapses and put them wherever you like — website, social, appeals, brochures, ads. That's exactly what they're for.
Can we have more than one camera?
Absolutely. Most attractions run several — the penguins, the primates, the reptile house, the aviary. Each one covers a different enclosure, and you see any of them live and pull clips, timelapses and AI posts from each, all under one account.
